FPSC Central Superior Services (CSS) Eligibility Rules
The Central Superior Services (CSS) examination is the premier competitive testing program organized by the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) to enlist elite officers into Pakistan’s bureaucracy. Becoming an administrative officer requires strict adherence to baseline operational conditions before sitting for exams.
1. Core Age Restrictions & Cut-Off Mandates
By administrative law, your target age metric must fall explicitly between 21 and 30 years old on the specific calendar deadline determined by the commission. This boundary condition is non-negotiable outside of dedicated exceptions.
2. Approved Categories for Age Relaxation (Up to 2 Years)
Candidates can seek a maximum allowance extension of two additional years, moving the maximum age parameter to 32 years old, if they align with the following criteria:
- Government Employees: Servants with a minimum structural framework of 2 years continuous, permanent public sector operational tenure.
- Scheduled Castes & Recognized Tribes: Registered populations tracing back to defined backward areas, including parts of Balochistan, D.G. Khan, Kohistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
- Special Abilities Framework: Individuals carrying authentic regulatory certifications proving physical, auditory, or visual impairment.
3. Minimum Academic Requirements
Applicants must carry a minimum of a Bachelor’s level degree credential (or global equivalents verified via HEC) falling within a Second Division or Grade C tier. Those possessing a Third Division evaluation are locked from competing unless a higher, subsequent Master’s rank or equivalent academic milestone has been recorded.
